This toolkit was developed to accurately calculate the costs associated with undertaking copyright compliance in NSLA libraries, in order to build a strategic case for copyright reform.
The spreadsheet is designed to understand the costs associated with undertaking compliance work for a specific project, such as digitising a specific set of materials. It may also be used over a particular period of time, creating a snapshot of all the copyright work taking place in an organisation.
The toolkit is licensed under Creative Commons and may be adapted by any organisation seeking to build their own dataset of the costs associated with applying copyright.
